Gingivtis

Gingivitis is a mild form of gum disease, also known as periodontal disease. It causes irritation, redness, swelling, and bleeding of the gingiva, the part of your gum that surrounds the base of your teeth. Gingivitis must be taken seriously and treated as soon as possible. However, if left untreated, it can progress to a much more serious gum disease known as periodontitis and tooth loss.

Gingivitis is most commonly caused by failing to keep your teeth and gums clean and healthy. Brushing at least twice a day, flossing daily, and getting regular dental checkups can all help to prevent and reverse gingivitis.
